Renault teams with Irish Restaurant Awards 2017

Renault Ireland and The Restaurant Association of Ireland have announced Renault Ireland as the official car partner of the Irish Restaurant Awards 2017, writes Trish Whelan . The Irish Restaurant Awards (RAI) will travel around the country driving new Renault models for a series of regional events this March to announce county and regional award winners across 15 different categories. County winners will be announced at four regional events with over 600 guests expected to attend each. This year’s host counties for the events are Kilkenny, Fermanagh, Limerick and Sligo. This year over 80,000 individual nominations were cast online from 11-25 January. Audi announce sales increase in Ireland

Premium car brand, Audi, had a new record year for sales in 2016 with 1,871,350 Audi models sold globally since January representing an increase of 3.8pc on 2015, writes Trish Whelan.

Audi sales have also increased in Ireland with over 6,000 registrations recorded in 2016.

Commenting on Ireland’s performance, Henning Dohrn, Managing Director of Audi Ireland said “We are very happy to be the number one premium car brand in Ireland. The basis for this success is due to our loyal customer base, committed dealer network, award winning products, and our continuous technological innovation.”

He is optimistic about the year ahead, particularly with the introduction of new models such as the A5 Sportback, Q2 (pictured above) and Q5 to the Irish market. Audi dealers are investing in the dealer network which will see the opening of three brand new Audi dealerships across the country later in the year.
