Renault teams with Irish Restaurant Awards 2017

Renault Ireland and The Restaurant Association of Ireland have announced Renault Ireland as the official car partner of the Irish Restaurant Awards 2017, writes Trish Whelan . The Irish Restaurant Awards (RAI) will travel around the country driving new Renault models for a series of regional events this March to announce county and regional award winners across 15 different categories. County winners will be announced at four regional events with over 600 guests expected to attend each. This year’s host counties for the events are Kilkenny, Fermanagh, Limerick and Sligo. This year over 80,000 individual nominations were cast online from 11-25 January. Renault sponsors RTE's Dancing with the Stars

Renault Ireland will sponsor Ireland's first ever Dancing with the Stars which begins on 8 January 2017 on RTE One, writes Trish Whelan.

The marque's New Renault Megane Grand Coupe will feature in stings around the show which sees 11 well known faces take to the dance floor in the ShinAwil production.

The celebrities will pair up with their professional dancing partners to test their twinkle toes. Each pairing will have a different dance to master every week from the cha-cha to mambo to tango and will have just seven days to perfect their routine before performing live.

The line-up includes dietician Dr Eva Orsmond, sports commentator Des Cahill, Kerry footballer Aidan O'Mahony, reporter Teresa Mannion, Big Brother's Hughie Maughan, comedians Katherine Lynch and Des Bishop,  Fair City and The Fall actress Aoibhin Garrihy, and Red Rock - Love/Hate actress Denise McCormack. Amanda Byram and Nicky Byrne will present the first series.
