Renault teams with Irish Restaurant Awards 2017

Renault Ireland and The Restaurant Association of Ireland have announced Renault Ireland as the official car partner of the Irish Restaurant Awards 2017, writes Trish Whelan . The Irish Restaurant Awards (RAI) will travel around the country driving new Renault models for a series of regional events this March to announce county and regional award winners across 15 different categories. County winners will be announced at four regional events with over 600 guests expected to attend each. This year’s host counties for the events are Kilkenny, Fermanagh, Limerick and Sligo. This year over 80,000 individual nominations were cast online from 11-25 January. Irish pricing, specs for Audi A5 Sportback

Audi Ireland has released Irish pricing and specs for its new five-door coupe, the Audi A5 Sportback, writes Trish Whelan.

The car will launch here with five engine variants, three TFSI and two TDI. Pricing for the diesel engine models starts at €47,350 for the 2.0 TDI 150bhp SE; while petrol engine models start at €48,010 for the 2.0 TFSI 190bhp SE. 

The range will also be available in a powerful 2.0 TDI 190bhp S ironic and a 2.0 TFSI 252bhp S tronic option. 

The car now weighs 15kg less than its predecessor model, making it more agile and fuel efficient and the interior boasts 480 litres of luggage capacity.

Standard equipment includes Xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and LED rear lights as well as LED interior lights that illuminate key features.

The new model contains the latest infotainment features including the Audi MMI navigation system with 7-inch colour display, Bluetooth and USB charging, a dedicated smartphone interface for iOS and Android devices and a 3-month free trial of Audi Connect. Driver assistance systems include Audi pre-sense city, and front and rear parking sensors. 

The S-Line trim includes additional features like LED headlights, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, leather-upholstered seats, 18-inch alloys and sports suspension.

Audi’s virtual cockpit is also available as an option on both trim lines. 


The car is available to order in dealerships now, with first deliveries expected in January 2017.
